Gucci Resort 2013June,2012

For her resort collection, creative director Frida Giannini drew inspiration from the houseÂ's Flora pattern, and also revisited the silhouettes, volumes and colors of the late Sixties and early Seventies. Â"The effortlessness of Marisa Berenson and Veruschka, influenced by a contemporary intuition to wear color and print,Â" she said. Thus, a new graphic interpretation of the Flora motif was shown on the skirt of a striped, pleated skirt dress, while denim was a key theme, used for clean blazers and matching flare pants, or marine-inspired striped linen gauchos. Delicate sorbet hues — mint, pale yellow and lilac — made up the evening palette, shown on mini or maxi silk crepon tunics, all with semiprecious stone ornamentations in the shapes of bouquets blooming on the dressesÂ' collars.
